2. The Complete Sanad (English Translation)

Al-Habib Abdur Rahman b. Sheikh al-Habshi said: Abu al-Nasr al-Khatib informed us by general ijazah (permission to narrate), from Abdullah al-Tilli, from Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi. He said: Najm al-Din al-Ghazzi informed us, from his father Badr al-Din, from Zayn al-Din Zakariyya, from al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, from Burhan al-Din Ibrahim b. Ahmad al-Tanukhi, from Abu al-Abbas Ahmad b. Abi Talib al-Hajjar, from al-Siraj al-Husayn b. Mubarak al-Zubaydi, from Abu al-Waqt Abd al-Awwal al-Harawi, from Abu al-Husayn al-Dawudi, from Abu Muhammad Abdullah al-Sarakhsi, from Abu Abdillah Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Farabri, from the Imam Abu Abdillah Muhammad b. Ismail al-Bukhari, may Allah the Most High have mercy on him.

The highest narrations he has are the thulathiyyat (narrations with only three narrators between al-Bukhari and the Prophet ﷺ). Among them, he said in his Sahih: Makki b. Ibrahim narrated to us, from Yazid b. Abi Ubayd, from Salama b. al-Akwa, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:

“Whoever attributes to me what I have not said, let him take his seat in the Fire.”

So between al-Habib and the Prophet ﷺ in this thulathi hadith of al-Bukhari, through this chain, there are eighteen persons. All praise is due to Allah, and His is the favour.

Concluding note (page 11): By this chain, al-Habib Abdur Rahman narrates all the narrations of al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, including the Nine Books (al-Kutub al-Tis'a) and others, with elevated chains.
